Privacy Policy

Let me save you some time. I'm not a lawyer. I'm not a big corporation. I'm a writer and marketer who thinks most privacy policies are designed to confuse you.

So here's mine. Straight talk.

What I collect and why

When you subscribe to my email list, I get your name and email address. That's it. I use this to send you updates, blog posts, or the occasional resource. Nothing shady.

When you browse my site, I can see basic analytics — which pages you visit, how long you stay, what you click. This helps me write stuff you actually want to read instead of guessing in the dark.
If you comment or email me, I see whatever you wrote. Please don't send me your passwords.

What I don't do
I don't sell your data. I don't share your email with random third parties. I don't serve you creepy retargeting ads that follow you around the internet. And I don't spam you with fake "URGENT: Your account will expire" nonsense.
I'm a solo human. I don't have time for any of that even if I wanted to — which I don't.

Cookies
Yes, I use them. Small text files that remember if you've visited before. That's how I avoid showing you the same popup seven times.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. I won't be offended.

Analytics
I use Google Analytics (or something similar) to see what's working. Which blog posts do people actually finish? Where do my readers come from? What topics make people click away?
This data is anonymous. I can't see your personal life or your weird 2 AM Google searches.

My email list
I use a third-party tool (like ConvertKit or Mailchimp) to manage my newsletter. They store your email securely. They don't own it. You do.
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it whenever you want. No guilt. No follow-up begging you to stay. Just goodbye.

Your rights
If you live in the EU, California, or anywhere that gives you privacy rights, here's what you can do:
· Ask me what data I have on you. I'll tell you.
· Ask me to delete it. I will.
· Unsubscribe anytime. Link's in every email.
Just email me at contact@mycontentleads.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. I'll reply within a few days.

Kids
This site isn't for anyone under 16. If you're a parent and your teenager somehow subscribed to my marketing newsletter… I'm impressed but please unsubscribe them.

Security
I use standard stuff — SSL encryption, strong passwords, common sense. I don't store sensitive data because I don't want to be responsible for it.
No system is 100% hack-proof. But I'm a content site, not a bank. And I treat your information the way I want mine treated.

Changes
If I ever update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. I won't email you about it unless it's something major (like me suddenly selling data — which will never happen).

The bottom line
I collect basic info to make my content better. I don't sell or abuse it. I hate spam. And I try to treat you the way I'd want to be treated.
